Dry Ice Blasting
for Chewing Gum Removal
Dry ice blasting removes chewing gum very quickly and efficiently. Dry ice has an ambient temperature of -79C. Blasting the dry ice at the chewing gum causes it to freeze. The eliminates the adhesion between the chewing gum and the surface. The chewing gum then lifts from the surface, leaving no residue.
Dry ice blasting will remove chewing gum from most surfaces. However, some surfaces will be too soft, and the blasting process will also remove part of the surface along with the chewing gum.
Once the gum has been removed, it can simply be swept up and placed in the bin. There is no additional waste created by the dry ice blasting process.
