Dry Ice Blasting for Tyre Moulds
An ICEsonic dry ice
blaster is suitable for the regular cleaning of tyre moulds. Dry ice
blasting can be used for cleaning in place, and there is no need to
dismantle the mould for cleaning. This reduces the downtime necessary
for machine cleaning. In addition, becasue dry ice sublimates on impact
with the contaminant, there is no secondary waste to dispose of.
For one customer, the introduction of dry ice blasting led to increased production of 8 tyres per mould, per 8 hour shift. A faster cleaning method allowed the company to produce an additional 80 tyres in every 8 hour shift.
