Dry Ice Blasting
for Wood:
Dry ice blasting successfully cleans wood. The picture on the right shows a 'before and after' example of cleaning aged, dirty wood. Dry ice blasting will remove a fine layer of the surface of the wood, raising the grain. This creates a very nice finish for both natural and stained wood.
Dry ice blasting can be used to remove paint from wood, and will also remove some wood treatments, depending on their chemical composition.
The use of dry ice blasting is also appropriate for such applications as fire/damage restoration (as seen in the second photo) and mould remediation.
Dry ice blasting creates no secondary waste, meaning the only 'dirt' that remains after blasting is that removed from the item cleaned.
